Noria
Noria : machine hydraulique qui sert à élever de l'eau et qui fonctionne suivant le principe du chapelet hydraulique. C'est une grande roue à ailettes installée sur un cours d'eau dont le courant actionne une rotation sans fin. Un chapelet de godets fixé à cette roue élève et déverse l'eau dans un aqueduc associé, qui la distribue sur les terres cultivées, via les canaux d'irrigation.
 
Noria : Water wheel : A mill wheel turned by the force of a passing or a falling stream. A series of cups are attached to the wheel in such a way that they fill with water in a rotative move and empty in an aqueduct, the aim being to irrigate cultivated lands.
